When Jake Met Mickey

I got to do something I've always dreamed of last week.

I took my child to Disney world.

I took a child who had an extremely challenging first three years.

I took a child who loves Mickey and Donald and Goofy and Captain Hook and... and... and ...

In return, my child... my Jakey... had to put up with a mom who kept crying happy tears throughout the first day. But, that's the price you pay when you go to Disney World pregnant.
Talk about too much joy... Disney world and pregnant. Me-oh-my!

Even better, we got to go with Grammy, Pop and Aunt Megan . Five adults. One Child. We didn't lose him even once. :)

On to the pictures...

So we got to the park pretty early...about 9:30 and cheese'd it up on main street.

Since our priority was the main mouse himself, the first thing we did was fast pass the meet and greet.

After a ride and a scare on the Jungle cruise ( not to self: no more tunnels for Jake) we headed to the big moment.

Jake stood in line like a big boy and started getting excited.

Then, just when it was his turn he got a little apprehensive..but he slowly approached Minnie and Mickey.

And then it was time for the big pose... Jake did not smile.

I think he was nervous because after we left the room, he just smiled and bounced and smiled some more. I was too busy crying to snap a pic.

Then we hit the gift shop and this was the result...

Meeting Mickey was fun for the big boy as well..

We would meet the mouse again down the road with different results.. but for now, that's what happened the day Jake met Mickey.

Oh, Jake looks so big and serious waiting to meet the mouse. Heard Jake made quite a haul in all the gift shops. Obviously genetics have kicked in and he loves to shop. Megan is very proud. Can't wait for more pics of Jake's big adventure. Love you all!

We had a blast at Disney too when we went a few years ago. So glad you had a good time. And congrats on being pregnant! I didn't know! When are you due?!?

Congrats Jenny!! I had to read that three times to make sure I was reading that right. Awesome news! We definitely want to take the kids to Disney and we'll probably cry the same tears of joy when we do. When we took Morgan to see Disney on Ice for the first time, she was so excite, and Ellen and I both had tears in our eyes. We'll be bawling when we go the "World." So glad Jake had an awesome time.
