Valentine's Day

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! 

We got an unexpected gift. We'll actually we got two unexpected gifts.

 One from my parents. (thank you very much) 

The other came from Jake.  He took severals steps all my himself last night!!

We were at Dave's office at the time and Jake got to work.

There is  video but it's on Dave's phone and I couldn't get it to post.

To My Valentine

Hey! It's Jake! 

  I have a very special Valentine this year. I won't get to see her this weekend so I have a little present for her.

 First let me warm up a little bit.  La-La-La-La-La-La-Laaaah! Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do. The-lips-the-teeth-the-tip-of-the-tongue. The-lips-the-teeth-the-tip-of-the-tongue.

OK. I'm ready. Here you go.  I love you Aunt Megan.

 

Wishin'...Fishin' and Dishin'

Oh my!! What a title! What does that mean exactly? I don't think I'm even for sure..so let's sort it out.

Here's Wishin' my hubby a happy birthday!! We were suppose to go to the movies Friday but it was sold out. So not to waste perfectly good babysitters (my parents) we went to....drumroll please... Chucky Cheese.  Yes.  Ten dollars down and so many rounds of skee ball that our back's hurt... we walked out with eight pieces of laughy taffy as our reward.

His real birthday present was a Fishin' trip with his buddy. He spent the weekend camping and casting on the river.

And for the Dishin' part... well... Dave and I are in disagreement about what it really means.

 I think it means what's the latest. Like what's happening.   For the moment I think I've convinced him I'm right (of course I am),

 But here's the dish... we have absolutely no doctor's appointments this week.!!!! Jake slept through the night last night.!! And all is well.  I guess you could say we are living happily ever after...for now.  And looky...looky...my happiness just showed up.

Just Chillin'

  Jake may look like me...but he's got his daddy's laid back attitude.

Here's where I found him tonight.

     Just hanging out at the bottom on the stairs. Sippy cup within reach... and cell phone in hand.   The fact that he was using the bottom step as a pillow and a towel for his feet cracked me up.

 So here's the thing... this little moment made me stop and think.  It's been a very hard week of doctor's appointments and therapy. Some of the appointments have left me frustrated and annoyed because there's no sure answer to my questions. But with all that is circling in my head, Jake reminded to just chill...choose joy...and let God work out his plan. 

And that's the kind of things you get, when you spend a moment with Jake.

Super Fun...Super News

The Super news:  Jake's heart once again stayed the same. 

We went to the doctor this morning and she said my two favorite words... NO CHANGE!

Goodness.. I love those words.

We go back in two months.

The Super fun: Jake went to his first Super Bowl party last night.

We spent the evening with some good friends. 

Jake made two new of his own.  Of course he zonked out before the game was even over but...hey it's NFL football. I don't blame him.  (hee...hee...hee)
