Today she went to church for the first time. Here's a few pictures for the family to oooh and aahh over.

And of course.... here's my Jakey. Don't let that smile fool ya... he's always into some type of trouble.

She's Here!

We are so happy to annouce that our baby girl is here!

Anne Cambley White arrived on November 29th at 8:01 am. She is seven yummy pounds and 3 ounces.

Miss Annie arrived really fast and almost delivered herself. She is happy. She is healthy.

We are soo blessed by our sweet girl. We are also blessed to have a great friend who is a great photographer take pictures while she was just hours old.

As for big brother. He thinks "baby" is alright.

Anne's name has a lot of meaning to me. Anne is my middle name as well as my mom's and my mother-in-law's middle name. The meaning is grace.. favour.
Cambley.. (pronounced CAME-blee) is my sister's middle name. It's a family name that goes back to my great-great-great grandmother.

We prayed for YEARS whether having another chilld right for us. We felt a solid yes and buckled our seatbelts for whatever God has for us.

Here's the verse that has been on the board at the bottom of our stairs for months.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God is good. We are so thankful for what He has done.

An update

Hey all!

It's been a little crazy around here, but this is what we've been up to since Jake's birthday.

Jake went trick or treating with his cousin the Lion with a lightsaber.

We had a great time. Buzz got a lot of candy which is good and bad.

Jake also got to go to a Predators game. One of his favorite places in the world. We haven't been to many this year because I just can move like normal right now.
Dave scored us suite tickets this night so it was perfect. Thanks Aunt Meg for going with us.

Also... we've been watching our mighty oak in the front yard change . We love this tree and for some reason it's a topic of conversation about once a week. We talked about how it's grown, how we need to cut back limbs, how pretty it is... and on and on. Don't know why put this tree is rooted in our family.

So that's it. Next event.. having a baby. She could be here soon. Me oh my!

I almost forgot

I almost forgot how to access my blog it's been soo long.
I took most the summer off and kinda of the fall too.

We had a big weekend in the White House. We partied galatic style in honor of Jake's 4th birthday.

It was a star wars kinda day.

Here's the birthday boy.....

Star Wars lego themed table.

We had galatic pizza, lightsaber pretzels, vader veggies, yoda soda, wookie cookies and leia bundt cakes.

It's not the best picture but check out those light saber napkins my sister made there on the left.

We took Vader's head outside and who knew... he was full of sweetness.

Then it was time for presents.

Jakey got sooo much.. thanks to everyone!

Jake Hearts Buzz

There's so many pictures from our Disney trip that I've been a little intimidated about trying to even pick which ones to put on here.

Tonight I've feeling brave and diving into the task.

I've decided we can wrap up our day at the Magic Kingdom with a little tale about Jake and Buzz.

The two have been a pair for over a year and finally... he got to meet him.

Look at the little arm out ready to get his autograph.

Then... all Jake would do is stare.

And then came the funny part... My Jake is button man and I hear Buzz at home every day... over and over and over. He finally meets our galactic friend and all he wants to do is push his buttons. Too adorable!

After meeting his superhero Grammy decides to buy him his 4th Buzz doll. (as I rolled my eyes)

It was the hit of the day.

Buzz rode the Carousel.

He rode Dumbo with Mom.

And Buzz even went into flight at the dinner table

Of course we wrapped up the day with the parade and fireworks.

With my tired little man clinging onto daddy.

Ahh... it is magical. But after 14 hours at the Magic Kingdom I was wishing for some pixie dust to fly me back to my room.

The next day we would take a walk on the wild side.

When Jake Met Mickey

I got to do something I've always dreamed of last week.

I took my child to Disney world.

I took a child who had an extremely challenging first three years.

I took a child who loves Mickey and Donald and Goofy and Captain Hook and... and... and ...

In return, my child... my Jakey... had to put up with a mom who kept crying happy tears throughout the first day. But, that's the price you pay when you go to Disney World pregnant.
Talk about too much joy... Disney world and pregnant. Me-oh-my!

Even better, we got to go with Grammy, Pop and Aunt Megan . Five adults. One Child. We didn't lose him even once. :)

On to the pictures...

So we got to the park pretty early...about 9:30 and cheese'd it up on main street.

Since our priority was the main mouse himself, the first thing we did was fast pass the meet and greet.

After a ride and a scare on the Jungle cruise ( not to self: no more tunnels for Jake) we headed to the big moment.

Jake stood in line like a big boy and started getting excited.

Then, just when it was his turn he got a little apprehensive..but he slowly approached Minnie and Mickey.

And then it was time for the big pose... Jake did not smile.

I think he was nervous because after we left the room, he just smiled and bounced and smiled some more. I was too busy crying to snap a pic.

Then we hit the gift shop and this was the result...

Meeting Mickey was fun for the big boy as well..

We would meet the mouse again down the road with different results.. but for now, that's what happened the day Jake met Mickey.

The Last Day... of the First Year

The school year is over.

Jake's first.

He started the pre-K program at the local school back in January. It was enough to send this mom over the edge. (and up a pant size) It turned out to be one of the best things we've ever done.
His teacher was great, the school was great and Jakey was happy. If Jakey is happy, this family is happy.
Here's my big 3 year-old on the last day.

We went to school in our swim trunks for a fun field day.

If there's a drop, a puddle or pool of water around Jake will spend some time with it.

Then it was time for a little croquet. Yes, I'm raising a high-society gentleman. We are so high-society that I had to Google how to spell croquet.

We loved our year thanks to this special lady. We are thrilled to be headed back to Miss Mandy's class next year.

Now bring on the summer fun!
